Wojnowo – monastery and cemetery

Wojnowo is a symbol of Polish Old Believers, who in the 19th century built an all-male Orthodox monastery near Lake Duś.

A year later a woman’s monastery was established in the same complex of buildings. Today, the rooms are used by tourists. A gate leads to the fenced monastery area. Religious and utility buildings are interspersed around the yard. A house of prayer occupies the central spot. A cemetery is situated nearby.
