Bartąg – 14th-century Gothic church

Built in 1348. Located near the church was a small hospital and a school.

A fire broke out in 1681, consuming part of the roof and walls. Only the main altar – made by the royal woodcarver, Isaac Riga – survived. The temple was rebuilt in the 18th century and reconsecrated in 1724. The church organs were built around the same time, in 1726. The church originally featured a wooden tower, which was replaced by a brick one as late as in 1800. The tower was also furnished with clocks a few years ago.

In 1934 the church was again reconstructed and expanded with the addition of two side aisles.
