A documentary film on the 1920 Warmia, Mazury and Powiśle plebiscite. The core narrative thread centres around the political murder of the Mazurian activist Gottlieb Link, who (in cooperation with Polish diplomatic services) went to a Paris peace congress along with a delegation of Mazurians, aiming to campaign for the cancellation of the Plebiscite and for Warmia and Mazury to become part of Poland.
A very important film from a historical point of view, it commemorates the memory of the heroic plebiscite activist, his courage and determination in the fight for an honest vote. Magda Łazarkiewicz, who evaluated the film as one of the three experts of the 3rd Warmia-Mazury Film Fund Competition, remarked that “it is desirable and even necessary to commemorate such heroes at a time when random hooligans and nationalists refer to themselves as Polish patriots!’.
