In Zatyki, 10 km south of Gołdap, at the foot of Tatarska Górka, lies a place like none other in the region.
Across about 300 hectares of beautiful hills, valleys, forests and lakes, extraordinary animals live in a close-to-natural environment. Among them are maral deer, mouflons, wild Barbary sheep, Przewalski’s horses, tarpans, guanacos and llamas. Lucky visitors may also spot white-tailed eagles, as well as cranes, herons and cormorants nesting in the swamps.
There are also exotic birds: ostriches, peacocks, pheasants. The farm is toured in an off-road vehicle, adding to the charm of the excursion. Prospective visitors to the Mazurian safari are encouraged to call in advance (Phone No.: +48 721 281 549) to make a reservation.
