The village of Wróbel is situated directly next to Banie Mazurskie in the centre of the commune (gmina), right by the Gołdap–Węgorzewo route and the picturesque Gołdapa River.
The village consists of three residential and farm complexes, remnants of the former quadruplex farm dwellings known as “czworaki” (four of which date back to the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and count among the oldest of their kind in eastern Mazury). The residence numbered 2, a 19th-century brick building, has been entered in the register of historical monuments. There are also ruins of several half-timbered “czworaki” from the 18th/19th cent.
