The Krutynia River – kayaking excursions amidst picturesque Mazurian landscapes

The Krutynia’s route through Pisz Forest (Puszcza Piska) and Mazurian Landscape Park treats kayakers to forests, meadows, reed beds, and waterstop-friendly backwaters – a welcome change from monotonous fields. It is renowned as one of Europe’s most beautiful kayaking routes, and certainly lives up to its reputation when seen firsthand. Some sections, such as the stretch between Ukta and Ruciane-Nida, are more “touristy”, while others – like the route between Krutynia and Zgon – are quieter and less frequented.
