Skolity – 18th-century Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

A long, single-nave church with a faux-Gothic choir and a transept (1907).

The nave was erected on the site of two earlier buildings after a 1708 fire. The building features a buttressed western section, as well as a transept and a neo-Gothic presbytery, both added between 1907 and 1911.

The newly-built church was consecrated in 1709. A post-and-beam, boarded tower from the same year adorns the lower section. The polychrome inner ceiling (1753-1763) was done by Ferdinand Guillereps of Dobre Miasto.  The 1684 Baroque-style high altar features a painting of the Adoration of the Virgin Mary and Child by a group of saints, painted most likely by Jerzy Piper of Lidzbark Warmiński. The church also houses a historic, Renaissance triptych from 1557, founded by the Warmian canon Jan Hanow.
