Ryn – Medieval castle of the Teutonic Knights

The castle in Ryn, situated on a hill between Lake Ryńskie and Lake Ołów, is one of the most massive and beautiful buildings of its kind in Poland.

The Teutonic Knights began construction after 1377. One of the wings dates from the Middle Ages, while the other three were built in subsequent historical periods. The “newest” of the three, the prison wing, was built in the 19th century. The building currently houses the ZAMEK RYN hotel.
