Jerutki – 18th-centruy historical church

The Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe in Jerutki is a monument of religious architecture erected in the first half of the 18th century.

It is an oriented, single-nave church building with a three-sided, eastward apse and a wooden “post-and-beam” construction. The space between the dark brown structural beams is filled with white, plastered brick wall. A square tower stands on the west side, built in brick and faced with plaster. The tower is surmounted by a tent roof topped with a flag. The church’s interior is covered with an wooden barrel vault supported by the matroneum pillars.
