Sępopol – 14th-century Gothic church

The Sępopol church, under the invocation of St. Michael the Archangel, was built around the years 1360-1370.

It is a Gothic three-nave hall church with a rectangular chancel and a tower to the west. The only surviving feature of the Gothic interior is a fragment of a wall painting, most likely depicting St. George fighting a dragon. The richly ornamented high altar was made by Joachim Pfaff in 1668. The pulpit dates from 1649, the baptismal font – from 1670.
